thelsw.org Goes Social!
June 25, 2010 in the site
WordPress 3.0 and BuddyPress are fully installed and should be running smoothly, more or less!
If you already have an account on this site (Josh or someone else would have sent you information, in that case), your old login and password should work. If you don’t have one already, please go ahead and create one, and welcome on board! We have forums! You can make posts to the front of the site! You can give gifts, including LSW Badges!
Go crazy, and if you have any questions, please let me know. newrambler on gmail/gtalk or comment here is your best bet.

Very, very cool, Laura! Thank you for doing this!

No problemo! I logged in to add someone to the (now Old) Members List, saw the “time to upgrade” thing, and thought the heck with it, why not?

Laura, I signed up for a new account as my old one didn’t seem to transfer (or I forgot to get around to signing up for one), and now when I try to log in, I basically get ignored. It just takes me back to the main page and I’m not logged in. No error message crops up. Can you see if my registration made it through?

Ignore me. I just saw I had to activate the account. Seriously, I should know this by now.
Barbara Fister said on June 26, 2010
…. um, could you explain that activation bit to me? I’m signed up but I’m not showing up as a member. What am I missing?
laurax said on June 26, 2010
Barbara, you should get an email with a link to click to activate your account. Maybe check your spam? Or let me know if that’s still not working.

Woo hoo! Yes, it was trying to hide in my spam filter. I’m in!

Too, TOO cool! I like this and I’m really interested in this whole BuddyPress thing. I’m looking at it for my own site!
